JOB OVERVIEW

Looking for a Systems Administrator for an Australia-based company who will be integral in the end to end support of customer and internal infrastructure, systems and cloud solutions. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure all systems are operational and take actions to ensure maximum performance, availability and reliability of the supported platform/technology. You'll be working remotely 100% of the time so power and network stability are critical.

You'll be responsible for:

- Taking ownership of system maintenance, monitoring, backups, customer i ---------- management and support.
- Operational support to backup and storage systems including offsite locations.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of monitoring solutions to manage and report on platform service availability.
- Respond to i ---------- as they arise in data centres, server hardware and software. Liaise with tea ---------- mbers as required to manage the impact and achieve timely resolution.
- Provide on-call support on a rotating roster with other tea ---------- mbers.
- Collaborate with other technical teams providing specialist support as required to achieve common business objectives, meeting deadlines as imposed.
- As a member of the team, you will take on tasks to ensure the Uptime, Security and Performance reliability of the environment.
- Have experience providing expert support, analysis and research into exceptionally complex business and technology problems.

Here are the skills and experience we expect to find in you...

- Minimum 5 years experience in IT Services and Hosting with strong experience working on Cloud and Virtual computing
- Advanced level Linux and networking skills
- Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, Data Availability, Redundancy and Security best practices
- Proven experience in the use of application logging, monitoring tools/process
- Strong customer-focused problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Be able to think critically and laterally in a high-paced environment; a sense of urgency is essential

Not essential but nice to have:

- Experience with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP
- Application, System and Security Monitoring and Tools, experience benchmarking and improving performance
- Support deployments and releases of code through Non-Production and Production environments
