Electrical Engineer – Solar Energy

We are looking for a highly motivated, optimistic individual with positive attitude to fill role of Electrical Engineer – Solar Energy to look after electrical engineering related activities of Sun Direct Power. This role will be based in the Maldives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Establishing and maintaining robust customer relationships by understanding customer needs and promoting customer understanding of full Utility Solar power conversion product/systems/services offerings and alignment in order to provide effective solutions.
• Coordinating with sales department to prepare offers and ensuring their technical and financial aspects, including pricing and trading conditions.
• Work closely with our customers and customers' engineering and commercial teams to deliver design aspects for residential, commercial and utility scale projects.
• Preparation of project feasibility studies.
• Determine appropriate engineering design options (concept designs, options analysis, detailed design in accordance with relevant Standards).
• Prepare energy yield estimates and financial performance estimates.
• Respond to technical inquiries from both end consumers and our direct partners.
• Performing regular status reviews and recommending recovery plans in case of order shortfalls.
• Submission of notices, tenders and applications to regulatory authorities by studying the specifications, drawings and end-user’s requirements.
• Worked with all relevant systems for the generation, distribution and control of electricity or electric energy.
• Ensured tendering and quotations include the correct types of inverters, transformers, circuit-breakers and other accessories.

Qualification
• Minimum Bachelor Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, preferably specialized in renewable energy
Experience
• experienced in energy assessments, concept and feasibility studies, and evaluation of equipment and project design.
Skills
• Skilled in commercial and utility scale solar developments, in particular the investigation and design of installations, in particular energy assessments, concept and feasibility studies, and evaluation of equipment and project design.
