Web Developer

We are a small team of web developers who strive for the simplest & cleanest code possible while keeping up with the latest coding standards. We also put an emphasis on ensuring the client’s updating experience is smooth and works into their larger organization.

We have a catalog of diverse clients with everything from WordPress to Squarespace sites, as well as some web apps in development. We are looking for someone who is up for anything and can help with ongoing client requests and support, building out new websites and features, and helping out on our web apps as time allows.

Requirements:
- High level of English
- Ability to have some overlap with Eastern/New York time zone
- Proficiency in all or some of the following (let us know which!): WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify, Squarespace, HTML, CSS, PHP, Javascript, JQuery, ReactJS
- Skilled in optimizing website speeds (caching, compression, etc.) and SEO
- Design experience and software experience is a plus (Illustrator, Photoshop, Sketch, etc.)
- Basic server maintenance experience, including setting up DNS, environments, and website migrations
- A careful eye for QA and reviewing work at both a code level and visual/usability level
- Creativity and willingness to formulate solutions and discuss/adapt them based on clients’ needs
- Ability to work independently on a variety of tasks and complete tasks on a deadline
- Ability to interface directly with clients and other developers as needed
