Creative YouTube Video Editor

Looking for a passionate and skillful video editor for a variety of YouTube videos to join our team and help us reach 100 million minutes watched.

We put out a weekly update show and tutorial videos and are looking for an editor to join the team and help create impactful and high-quality videos for people to enjoy.

This is the baseline. We want someone who can take this type of content and help make it more engaging. Think AppSumo, Ahrefs, or MKBHD YouTube channels.

We're always evolving and looking to improve the quality of the videos - we'd like to work with an editor that has creative input and is not just looking to get the video done as quickly as possible.

Your role will include enhancing the script, like knowing when to insert text or animations to call out key ---------- nts in the video and finding footage to use online, like getting website screenshots, logos, YouTube videos, or videos from our stock footage library.

Requirements
- Strong video editing skills and understanding of pacing, transitions, and timing
- Know how to use Adobe Premiere or FCPX including working and relinking to proxies, working with and modifying effects and generators, J and L cuts, and basic audio mixing
- Ability to hit deadlines and communicate about any issues
- Decent internet connection

Each video should take about 5-10 hours of work and there will be 1-2 videos a week with the opportunity for more work.

BONUS: There will also be bonuses for videos that hit over 50% watch time.

Please include any work samples of videos you have edited that best illustrate the type of videos we're trying to create.

Also indicate what editing system you use (we can only work with Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro) and if you have any motion graphics skills or templates.
