JOB PURPOSE

A frontend developer effectively implements a design concept into well-coded, lightweight, and responsive web Upgrade to see actual infoontend Developer Overview

Frontend developer implements the visual elements using web technologies that the users see and interact with within a web Upgrade to see actual infoontend developers collaborate with the entire tech team, with a focus on designers, business analysts, and backend developers to achieve the expected output needed and make sure that the design is implemented correctly.

A frontend developer should also be able to provide accurate Upgrade to see actual infoontend developers must perform duties with minimal supervision. Must have a critical mind in dealing with UI/UX challenges. Should be collaborative to foster creativity and teamwork.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Core

• Write neat, semantic and concise code for HTML, XML, CSS, Php, and JavaScript.
• Must be able to translate Figma design prototypes into front-end implementation.
• Must give optimistic estimates on frontend tasks.

Implementation

• Collaborate with designers and back-end developers to develop consumer-driven, user-integrated eCommerce websites.
• Work with tech leads, designers, business analysts, and backend developers to establish best practices, workflows, and methods.
• Practice code and image optimization.
• Practice RWD standards and best practices.
• Ensure that frontend implementation translates well to various browsers and devices.

Handoff

• Assist back-end developers with effective implementation of Frontend templates, HTML, CSS, Php, and Javascript.
• Execute/troubleshoot any frontend technical or performance issues that may arise.
• Work with backend developers and infra team on SEO implementations.


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

EDUCATION

• A graduate on any of the following any Bachelor Arts/Design/Creative Multimedia, Computer Science/Information Technology, and Computer engineering or the pre-requisite experience.

PROFESSIONAL DESIGNATIONS

• Frontend technology certificates, classes, or courses are a plus
• Magento eCommerce certificates are preferred but not required upon hire. You will be encouraged to obtain a Magento certification within 6 months of employment.

KSA - KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Knowledge/familiarity/understanding of web development and eCommerce
• Knowledge/familiarity/understanding of the functional capabilities of eCommerce platforms such as Magento, Demandware (Commerce Cloud), SAP Hybris, Shopify, Big Commerce, Woo Commerce
• Knowledge/familiarity/understanding of Figma, Adobe CS, Adobe XD, Concepts of Prototyping.
• Knowledge/familiarity/understanding of CSS, Less, HTML5, JS, JQuery, and related frameworks for cross-platform development.
• Knowledge/familiarity/understanding of accessibility, SEO, and UX aspects of frontend development.
• Knowledge/familiarity/understanding of Responsive Web Design.
• Knowledge/familiarity/understanding of Jira, Jira Service Desk, Confluence
• Possess excellent communication skills
• Be able to travel both domestically and internationally with no entry restrictions
• Be able to communicate effectively with clients
• Be able to communicate effectively with onshore and offshore creative developers whose second language is English.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

An ideal candidate will possess the experience listed below or an equivalency
• 2+ years of experience working as a Frontend developer
• 2+ years of experience working with design teams
• 1+ years of experience working with software/web development teams
• Experience working in the eCommerce industry is a plus
• Experience with Magento is a plus
• Experience working with development teams from other countries is a plus
