JOB OVERVIEW

COMPANY:
Abode manages 150+ furnished apartments and apartment hotels servicing corporate and leisure guests for one night to several month long stays. The business is a combination of vacation rental and corporate housing and mainly operates apartments in urban locations but will be expanding to resort destinations in the future. Abode is a full service hospitality and asset management company. Abode markets the units and manages the reservations, in-residence guest experience and the upkeep of the residential units.

ROLE:
Shifts are primarily during US office hours (Philippine Overnight Shifts) to be able to coordinate with vendors and destination services teams.
Full-Time Independent Contractor 5 days per week with 9 hour shift per day with 30 minute lunch and two 15 minute breaks
Initial training schedule estimated time 2-4 ---------- itial training schedule will be during US Central Time office hours.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:
The Purchasing & Inventory Specialist is responsible for sourcing, purchasing and inventory control to support the company’s hospitality operations. The Specialist will ensure the properties are sufficiently stocked with furnishings, housewares, operating supplies, amenities, and maintenance supplies within approved budgets.

AT ABODE YOU WILL:
Coordinate quarterly inventory counts to ensure inventory par stock levels are maintained at the properties.
Assist Accounting and Operations Management teams in establishing and managing purchasing and inventory budgets.
Order housewares, linens, amenities, operating and maintenance supplies as operational needs and budgets dictate.
Assist in sourcing and logistics for replacing or repairing furnishings, fixtures and decor items.
Assist in sourcing, ordering, logistics and budget management for onboarding new properties.
Assist in developing and refining purchasing and inventory management standards, guidelines and tracking systems.
Assist in sourcing new supplier relationships.
Assist destination services team in maintaining property brand and quality standards.
Other special projects, administrative or destination services related duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Excellent written and oral English communication skills
Familiarity with Google Workspace - G Suite (Email, Sheets, Docs & Drive)
Excellent spreadsheet management skills (Google Sheets and/or Excel)
High level of computer literacy and able to quickly learn and master new communication and management systems
An unrelenting focus on quality and attention to detail
Excellent organization, time-management and problem-solving skills
Motivated and sees opportunities to improve processes
High energy and always ready to do everything you can to make sure our guests have a great stay
Prior experience in hotel, property management, restaurant or related purchasing and inventory management ---------- PENSATION:
Compensation commensurate with experience. New hires will go through a 90 day probationary evaluation period.
Hourly compensation plus $50 USD monthly internet connection allowance, 5 days annual paid leave, and team incentive bonus program participation

INFRASTRUCTURE REQUIREMENTS:
Reliable 12MB or greater high speed internet connection
Secondary backup internet connection (hotspot or comparable)
Reliable and up to date personal computer with capacity to run reservations, security and communications programs. Most programs are cloud based so require more processing power (RAM) than hard drive storage capacity.
Reliable power supply and backup generator access
