JOB OVERVIEW

Digital Marketing Assistant / Content Marketing Manager

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, adaptable person to join our growing company and help us out with a wide range of digital marketing tasks.

The successful candidate will get to develop expertise in a variety of high value digital marketing and content marketing skills.
Some of the tasks would include:

Article Research
• We don’t just want to write cookie-cutter blog posts that are the same as pretty much every other article on the web. We want to write completely unique, deeply researched and entertaining content. That starts with in-depth research into a topic.
o For example, a topic might be “Baby Strollers”. You will start with a thorough background research online and offline to gather as much data as possible about a topic. For example, collate all manufacturers’ spec data into a spreadsheet, read through customer reviews to get a true users’ perspective of a product, check out magazines, textbooks and trade publications – all-in-all gather as much information as there possibly is out there. Don’t just take things at face value – we want to go the extra mile to dig below the surface. Those who have done a research thesis will be familiar with a ‘literature review’ and this is the kind of model we have in mind here.
o Draft expert interview questions (don’t worry you don’t have to do the interviews yourself). For example, draft emails to chiropractors to ask them what they look for when selecting a baby stroller. Similarly, we could ask the same thing of paediatricians, nannies, etc.
o Identify relevant experts, collate their contact details and fire off a standard email template
o Draft customer survey questions (we run customer surveys on our website). E.g. “On a scale of 1 to 10 how easy is it to fold your stroller”
o Collate results into a meaningful summary and send to the article writers to put together into the online content

• Article publishing
o Once the articles are ready, proof-read them and upload them to the website – ensuring our formatting guidelines are followed

Email marketing
o Help research and draft customer emails – e.g. a daily ‘thought for the day’ email - and upload to our scheduling software

• Social media marketing
o Post our articles and our thought for the day on social media and respond to any comments that come in

Don’t worry if that sounds challenging. Full training will be given, and we don’t expect someone to come into the company and be able to do all this on day one. We just want someone who is intelligent and flexible enough to take on new ideas and ways of working and is keen to learn new skills.

Ideally, we are looking for full-time but can consider part-time. Working hours are flexible. Work is remote and home-based so we will need someone capable of working with minimal supervision and be self-motivated.

We don’t expect any formal experience in digital marketing / content marketing although some experience of research would be helpful. The type of person we are looking for is:
• Good at searching for information – even on a topic you don’t know very well
o Ask good questions

o Be patient and diligent
o Go beyond the surface
• A problem solver
• A good communicator
• Curious and inquisitive
• Self-motivated and able to work remotely with minimal supervision

• Hours – flexible up to 40 hours per week
• Pay - $5 per hour paid monthly on the 29th via Payoneer
• 13th month is payable pro-rata
• Reasonable holidays and vacation days allowed
