Repeak Media - Video & Photo Editing Job Description
Who we are: We are a small creative agency that takes on work for world class hotels, restaurants, and brands that want their products & services showcased in their best light.
Who you are: An experienced video editor who lives and breathes within the Adobe Suite. You’re self motivated and have spent time on Youtube honing your editing skills. Your keyboard is customized to shortcuts that you know like the back of your hand. After you export your edits you watch them back a few times just to enjoy watching your work, make sure there are no errors, and it’s a job well done!
In terms of photos you understand how to make photos look “natural''. You straighten your horizons, you quickly comb through shots to find the best of the bunch, you’ve got an eye for the subtle adjustments that make photos “pop!”
You’re a chill creative that loves the art of editing, is easy to get along with, and can buckle down and get into the zone when it’s time to hit deadlines!
Goal: to edit creative video and photo content for a range of different industries.
Must have a portfolio demonstrating the following:
Video:
Understanding of color correction to create a “natural look”
Ability to set a good pace for the video
Appropriate music selection
Shot selection
Ability to edit for multiple different platforms and orientations
Photo:
Ability to create a “natural” look for photos
Understanding of good photo composition
Demonstrated ability to pick out the basics that need to be corrected
Horizon lines
Blown out highlights
Dropping the blacks
They editing eye to make photos stand out and “pop”
Other requirements:
Fast & reliable internet
Good communication skills
A positive attitude
Self-starter and ability to figure things out independently (e.g if you need an editing tip you hop on Youtube and look for tutorials)
Nice to haves:
Uses Adobe Lightroom & Premiere Pro (this will allow us to work together on projects using Adobe Team Project)
Has relevant work from a range of different clients & industries
About this job:
This job is currently 25 hours a week but has plans to become full-time within 60 days. The first 60 days will be to finalize the systems, processes, and workflows,
