Kano Consultants engages in consulting with the energy and power industry. This includes Oil and Gas upstream and downstream businesses, electric power from generation to distribution. We provide data analytics, engineering assessments, and custom software development.


Job Description Summary:

This is a part-time, temporary contract. We are looking for a security professional with experience in compliance and governance. The primary role will be to help with security policies and track cybersecurity compliance for the company. The tasks will include but are not limited to:?

Perform and manage IT risk assessments to support requirements of various security frameworks.
Continuously evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of SOC and NIST audit strategy/methodology and proposes improvements to achieve audit efficiencies.
Reviewing and maintaining the Information Security policy drafted based upon Electric, Power, and Utility Industry Standards.
Conducting and Reviewing Risk assessments and Vulnerability management
Hardening the organization Infrastructure
Incident handling and recovery
Providing security recommendations for improving current security policy
Maintain the disaster recovery plan?
Configure Microsoft Office Exchange Online Protection (EOP)?
Configure Microsoft Advanced Threat Protection
Review permissions for users and process requests for access?
Work with the greater IT organization on implementing system patches and resolving outages?

Job Qualifications Education:?

Experience in Office 365 environment with Azure AD.
Experience performing full lifecycle NIST-specific security assessments.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to mitigate risks and resolve control deficiencies
Completing security and compliance audits.
Any certification regarding compliance, governance, and auditing
Minimum of 10 years of work experience?
