JOB OVERVIEW

THE ROLE

As a social media manager, you have superior writing skills, enjoy developing a relationship with the client and learning their business, an excellent handle on emerging technology and what it means for building strategies to meet a client’s goals.


THE PLACE

Located in Canada, my client is a young trans man who is looking to start a female-to-male transition. He aims to create an Instagram account to relate the different challenges and struggles encountered by trans people in their everyday life. The aforementioned account will essentially be composed of illustrations, comics and daily quotes. That way, we hope to empower and reassure the trans community and convey a message of hope.


THE DAY TO DAY

• Work closely with clients to develop and propose appropriate communication strategies

• Develop communication plans and create monthly social calendars

• Write and manage daily postings and produce listening reports

• Develop content and collaborate design content for weekly posts / videos / quotes

• Manage daily tasks through a cloud -based project management platform

• Develop and implement influencer and social media ad strategies

• Mastering of SEO, social, content and design

• Utilize analytical abilities to measure, track and report performance against goals such as site engagement metrics, sources of traffic, landing page conversion rates, social engagement rates and organic searches.

• Stay on top of digital trends and determine how to apply these to client and company business needs



THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Minimum 2 years of digital marketing experience setting across our main practice areas (stakeholder communications, brand and collateral development)

• Experience in corporate communications

• Post-secondary education in communications or related area

• An accurate knowledge of the LGBTQIA+ community culture

• A relevant experience in graphic design (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Canva, etc.) and video editing is an asset.

• A high level in English literacy (B2 to C2) (VERY IMPORTANT)
