JOB OVERVIEW

The Parasol Cooperative ( ---------- ) is looking to bolster its engagement and drive traffic to its website and new community via its Facebook and Twitter ---------- pages. We believe that by increasing engagement, we’ll be able to drive conversions of new paying members, increase retention of existing members and secure new partners and sponsors.

You must have experience with Social Media Management and Marketing, Graphics Design (for copy and digital content purposes) using Canva or similar tool, Video Editing (getting clips from existing video content), Blogging / Copy Writing.

We are going through a three stage process:

Stage 1 - Initial Review: As part of your application, you MUST include one draft writeup sample to use as a Twitter tweet and Facebook post. The tweet or Facebook post should point to our new advocacy page that we’re launching and text which would interest domestic violence organizations or coalitions to click on the link. The advocacy page is located here: ---------- , and contains background on the website to help craft the post. We do review your portfolio as well, so please submit that as well. PLEASE NOTE: We will not consider any applicants who do not provide this ---------- e Parasol's voice and tone guidelines provided below. All applications are due by July 15th 2021 and we will notify participants who made it to Step 2 by July 21st 2021.

Stage 2 - Paid Skills Evaluation (~$115 USD): If selected past the initial review, we’ll hire you to draft suggested posts for Facebook and Twitter for the next two weeks. This should include the proposed content, including a combination of links, images and text, along with the recommended dates and times for posting over the next two weeks. The posts should be customized per channel (e.g. brand Facebook post tips here, Twitter here) and follow our brand guidelines (see below). We’ll look to you to incorporate the amount and frequency of posts in those two weeks based on your experience in social media. Following The Parasol Cooperative’s review and approval of the content and timing, we’ll provide the passwords and have you post on the channels accordingly. Additional information will also be provided, but we are looking for a go-getter who can ask proactive questions for unclear requirements / asks. All project materials are due July 26th We will notify all participants of the hiring status by July 29th.

Stage 3 - Full-time Hired Position (To be discussed) : As part of an ongoing position, this would be in the format of a content calendar on social media management platform Mailchimp. However, for this project you can share via email or your preferred format. We’re also exploring sponsored Facebook and Twitter ads for the future, but first need to get the content right. The person who passes through the two stages will be hired full-time and we will negotiate the salary at this stage.

The person who makes it to Step 3 and is hired will have set goals and metrics which will be used to gauge performance and provide feedback. We have a great team on the project who will be actively providing input and this person will be a part of the team.
