Back End Web Developer

We're a FinTech company founded in 2016. We provide a robust range of platforms and APIs for finance brokers in Australia.


We're in a stage of rapid growth, and we're looking to hire multiple roles (full stack / frontend / backend) to grow our motivated engineering team.


About the role
- Our technical vision includes building Serverless Services in NodeJS, while slowly phasing-out legacy PHP platforms, so you can always expect to be working on something new and challenging.


The type of people we're looking for
- Can easily adapt and solve complex problems (our industry is constantly-evolving).
- Can demonstrate competent experience in NodeJS, (an understanding of PHP would also be beneficial).
- Fully understands what a micro-services architecture is (bonus points if you can show us examples).
- Has an understands of AWS (more than just launching an EC2 and deploying a site, we mean Lambdas, SQS, events, etc)...
- If you don't fully understand AWS, that's no big deal however you'd need to know the Serverless framework.
- Is happy to write test cases for everything they build (we use JestJS).


Bonus points if:
- You can show us some projects that you've built in your own time (personal projects, any language, we just like to see that you enjoy what you do).
- When you look at different UIs you know what looks good and what looks bad.
- You've worked with databases that have millions of records.
