Web Designer - Developer

We're recruiting for a creative web designer and developer for the following task:



1- Web design

2- WordPress web development

The nature of the job is full-time - virtually.



More than 85% of our web applications are built with WordPress. Applicants must be professional in using WordPress. Any other CMS use would be a bonus.



Skills required:



1- Must be a professional user of Adobe software. Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, any professional use of other design tools would be a bonus.

2- Must have the ability to design professional illustrations that articulate ideas in a visual manner.

3- Must have experience in designing websites, landing, and sales pages.

4- Have the knowledge and understanding of the web development process from creating mockups, designing the layouts to finally developing the application.

4- Must have an eye for design.

5- Must be a professional user of WordPress.

6- Can build websites using WordPress page builders, Gutenburg mainly!

7- Have the skills to customize WordPress themes and plugins.

8- HTML.

9- CSS.

10- Java and some PHP.

Any other programming language will be a bonus.

11- You should demonstrate a good level of English.



You don't have to be an expert in HTML, CSS5, Java, or PHP but you still need to have a foundational level that enables you to understand the code and also customize WordPress themes and plugins as and when required.



You also need to have some understanding of the server-side functions, for example, migrating websites and optimization for speed and performance.



Our web design process is as follows:

1- Requirement collection - Not part of your role.

2- Content preparation - Not part of your role.

3- Wireframes, mockups, and visual design using Adobe products - This is your role

4- WordPress theme selection and customization - This is your role

5- Developing the design into a functional web application on WordPress - This is your role

6- Website migration - This is your role

7- Project hand over - Not your role



The above process explains the nature of the tasks that you are expected to pursue. In addition to this, you should expect other occasional design tasks mainly using the power of photoshop or illustrator.
