Reporter job description
Money Times is an online personal and business finance newspaper is seeking reporters who are skilled at constructing a story that is clear and engaging. If you have professional writing skills and the ability to put together a story based on investigation and research, we have the position for you.


Reporter duties and responsibilities
• Keep up with all the local and global happening
• Cover a wide variety of stories
• Plan and write breaking stories and evergreen articles
• Verify information provided by interviewees 
• Rework pieces as requested by editor and update pieces as needed for ongoing or developing stories
• Finalize news content 
• Convert stories to be posted on company website, and create social media posts to drive traffic to the website
• Keep up with deadlines as timeliness is extremely important
• Follow news events and other media sources to stay informed

Reporter requirements and qualifications
• Fluent in English - written and spoken
• 3 years of experience as a Reporter or similar role
• Passion about writing and creating engaging stories
• A portfolio of published articles
• Strong knowledge of media processes
• Excellent communication and research skills
• Charismatic and magnetic personality
• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
• Team player
• Good time-management skills
• Great interpersonal and communication skills
• Preferred Degree in Journalism or relevant field
• Preferred background knowledge in finance
• Experience with social media posting and management
