## About The Company

Baton builds no-code back-office tooling to help fast growing technology startups scale. We have our first revenue-generating user, have 6 months of UX ready for implementation, and are on track for profitability by December 2021.

Start up founders are told insistently that they need to "do things that don't scale" in order to get their product to market successfully, but what happens when they get there?

- Their codebases are undocumented, not under version control nor covered by tests, and are 'hacked together,'
- Their operations processes are scattered and inconsistent,
- Their customers operations are a constant explosive crisis, and churn threats are a daily struggle, and
- Their product and design decisions are ungrounded and incorrectly prioritized, forcing engineering to collect product killing bugs in backlog in order to push out non-core features like "dark mode"

## The Opportunity

You’ll jump-start your career with us by taking ownership of these key responsibilities:

- Mock, design and build new and existing platform features using Angular.
- Work directly under the Head of Engineering in facilitating the seamless integration of the Frontend features with the backend APIs.
- Write unit and integration tests with Mocha that ensure we never have to wake up in the middle of the night to fix the same bug twice.
- Participate in code reviews and one-on-one's with the Head of Engineering.
- Collaborate across the Engineering and Product team to understand what we are building and why we are doing so.

## Who Is Our Ideal Candidate?

- Minimum 2 to 3 years working experience as a front-end web developer
- Extensive software engineering experience for web-based applications in a fast-paced environment (… not just using front-end, drag-and-drop builders)
- Hands-on experience consuming and interacting with RESTful APIs
- Strong understanding of SCSS, Typescript and Angular
- You understand the importance of well-documented code and are happy to hear that half of this job will be writing tests and documentation
- Excellent command of English Language (written & spoken)
