We are currently seeking a full time Proposal Writer for the collection, maintenance, tracking, and reporting of business intelligence for supporting proposal development and pricing activities that will aid in our service-oriented company to win government contracts from the US government (Federnal/State/Local).
Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:
• Identifies, researches and supports the response to Request for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs) and Sources Sought notices issued by the US Federal and state Government using a variety of opportunity portals
• Develop pricing methods and practices that lead to competitive and profitable proposals in government contracting
• Research and identify potential teaming partners and develop relationships and partnerships in pursuit of potential opportunities.
• Perform competitive assessment, risk analysis and Bid/No-Bid recommendation in daily briefings.
• Responsible for entering and updating opportunity data in the company’s BD system.
• Develops, implements, and maintains standard processes and tools.
Required Skills and Experience:
• BA/BS degree required
• Project Management experience a plus, but not required
• Government contracting experience preferred, but not required
• Experience reviewing and analyzing solicitations for bidding decisions.
• Experience with supporting proposal reviews and writing.
• Experience with making cold calls to teaming partners.
• Experience with capturing and monitoring potential bidding opportunities.
• Comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to think outside the box.
• Ability to work effectively under deadlines and produce accurate work.
• Exceptional communication skills including written and interpersonal.
• Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively to achieve specific goals and objectives and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, collaborative problem solving, financial acumen and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
