We are seeking passionate, highly motivated teachers to do virtual tutoring sessions with PreK through 12th grade students in the United States. We are looking for tutors in all subjects: math, literacy, foreign language, science, coding, chess, arts and more. All tutoring sessions will be conducted on zoom. Tutors will also be invited to our slack channel to communicate with other teachers and parents about the child's development. Most tutoring sessions last 40 minutes and tutors send parents a progress report following each lesson. All tutors will also be invited to participate in our paid trainings conducted by senior teachers and child life specialists.
We believe that a great tutor/child relationship brings much more than academic results. It is a way for a child to form a healthy attachment with a positive role model that will give them confidence and inspiration to last their whole life.
Our company embraces a child-centered approach to communication (inspired by Adele Faber's book "How to Talk so Kids Can Learn). We also use a growth mindset approach, praising progress and diligence (characteristics children can control) as opposed to innate qualities such as intelligence (innate qualities children can not control). For more on growth mindset, see Carol Dweck's Ted Talk (The Power of Believing you can Improve)
