The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the following: recruitment, hiring of all exempt and non-exempt employees, on-boarding, employee relations, performance reviews, policy implementation, employee programs, employee communications, safety, benefits administration, and all governmental reporting. The HR Manager will work very closely with the CEO, department managers and supervisors.
Essential Functions:
Provides employee relations support to managers, supervisors and employees to ensure complaints, discipline, performance management and corrective action procedures are handled in a fair, consistent and legal manner.
Develops and maintains comprehensive understanding of production environment, which requires a regular presence on the operations.
Implements and manages various personnel training programs.
Coordinates all employee record keeping functions.
Continually reviews and assists in updating the employee policies.
Manages all benefits, to make sure that employees are signed up in a timely manner. Also keeps track of the information for reporting purposes.
Manages unemployment, workers compensation, and related benefits.
Conducts VA and TL monthly assessment.
Keeps abreast with changing laws and regulations relating to all personnel issues and ensures compliance with these laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
Ability to coach employees and management through complex, difficult, or emotional issues.
Must have the ability to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulations and/or government law.
Ability to prioritize and take the initiative.
Ability to work 40 hours a week.
1-2 years Human Resources experience.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and confidential matters in a professional, time sensitive manner.
Demonstrated success influencing and coaching employees.
