Leasing Agent

We are currently hiring for the Leasing Agent position. This position is responsible for direct interaction with prospective and current tenants. The role touches the leasing process from introduction through occupancy, and is responsible for maintaining trust and communication from onboarding of the tenant throughout the tenancy of the resident.

Requirements:
Some experience in sales/marketing or a service-related industry
Computer proficiency
Managing referrals across departments
Competency in, or the ability to become competent in, the following:
Residential Tenancies Act
Ontario Human Rights
PIPEDA
Building Maintenance
Can work from 8am to 4:30pm EST / midnight-8:30AM EST shift Thursday- Monday

A Leasing Agent is highly organized with strong time management skills and an understanding of prioritization. Naturally driven to provide excellent customer service and to instill trust, a Leasing Agent is a natural communicator with good negotiation skills, the ability to work independently, and a professional demeanour.


Tasks:
Evaluate properties for needed repairs and improvement recommendations (vacant or occupied)
Ability to conduct market research to determine and prepare a comparative market evaluation
Draft advertisements
Monitor effectiveness of ads
Manage showings
Comfortable with property management software - Appfolio
The ability to close a lead, measure showings, follow up on commitments to rent, and monitor applications
Some business development work with growth options in the future
Draft/manage customer surveys
Coordinate photography of properties
