Leasing Associate

Our company, Avenir Homes, is a co-living space operator managing 60+ rooms across 13 properties in three cities. We're rapidly expanding in the Phoenix, Arizona area and are looking for entrepreneurial individuals who are looking to join early and help influence the future direction of our company.

The ideal Leasing Associate would be someone who enjoys connecting with new people and helping them find out if they're a fit for a room with Avenir Homes.
- You should be a people-person and also be able to make accurate judgments on which rooms would be best for them.
- Be able to draft, review, lease agreements and be familiar with the basics of enforcement, e.g. evictions
- Understand how to research rents in various markets and conduct pricing research when making decisions on market rent
- Be familiar with Excel, Sheets, or similar software. Know how to use them for basic statistics and reporting
- Have basic accounting experience; understand how to send invoices and review tenant ledgers / reconciliations
- Experience with Buildium or property management basics would be valued.

While we can't pay well now, we plan to give raises at least annually, if not sooner depending on our financial performance through the end of the year. We need to get to 30 homes by year end to start operating more sustainably and we need to build out our management capacity to handle all of the homes we keep buying for investors.

Once we have a good team together, we can probably reach that goal very quickly.
