JOB OVERVIEW

Hi there!

I'm looking for a part-time bookkeeper and I'm hoping you may be the person to help! I already have 5 full-time Filipinos on my team and have lots of positive experience working with you guys - it's always a pleasure! I also lived in Manila for a few months myself in the past, and I'm a big fan of the Philippines :)

I run a small UK web design business and have been using Wave for the last 4.5 years that the company has existed. I have an accountant who prepares my reports for HMRC and Companies House, but I've always done all the bookkeeping myself.

Although I've been very comfortable doing the bookkeeping, a couple of things have changed lately and I'm now looking for a bookkeeper to help handle the work instead.

Firstly, as you are hopefully already aware, Wave ended their support for the Stripe invoicing connection at the end of March as part of their decision to focus on their North American customers going forward, so I've already had to transition my invoicing to Xero and this is working successfully. However, I haven't had time to migrate the rest of my historical accounting data from Wave into Xero yet, and I'm still very new to Xero overall - so I'd like to get your advice and help to do this work rather than doing it ---------- condly, the company has been growing quite fast recently and I need to focus my time on other priorities rather than having to allocate some of my time to bookkeeping each week/month. I'd love to get your help with taking care of it going forward, alongside my accountant - with input / supervision from me where ---------- any given month on average at the moment, I have less than 50 receipts to process (including invoices from my team of 5 Filipino subcontractors) and also around 50 sales transactions to reconcile. I'm the only person on PAYE and my accountant handles that part herself, so the bookkeeping only involves putting in the monthly journal entries. Once the Wave -> Xero migration work is complete, I estimate that your role would involve around 2 hours of bookkeeping work per week on average, to keep up with the latest receipts and reconciliation.

If this sounds like the type of role you’d suit and be good at, I’d love to hear from you - thanks in advance for getting in touch!

P.s. In your response I’d like you to answer a couple of questions please: 1) Could you summarise using some very brief bullet points what your key tasks would need to be in order to handle the Wave -> Xero migration for me? 2) What do you feel are your best and worst personal qualities?
