Wordpress Front End Developer FULL TIME to build websites

Our web agency in Canada is looking for a Skilled Front end developer to join our team. We are looking for someone with experience and are ready to pay a good salary for someone motivated and skilled!


Your tasks
* You implement layouts/pages using HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript (ES6+) on consumer facing websites with many visitors
* You build Wordpress themes and plugins that can be shared between different applications
* You coordinate with our (UX/UI) designers for the optimal usability of the applications
* You work closely with the developers of the team, who are responsible for the processes in the background
* You take care of a quality assurance of the interfaces to ensure smooth workflows in the consumer processes
* You test new technologies and frameworks and help not only the team, but Oolongmedia as a whole to keep up with the times.
Your profile
* You have a bachelor degree in computer science
* You are comfortable with HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript (ES6+)
* You have experience with Wordpress or other PHP/MYSQL based content management systems
* You know what GIT-pipelines, CI and npm are
* You are only happy when the structures of your application are optimal and lead to a perfect UX
* You have no problem speaking and writing in English
Advantageous
* You are interested in using JavaScript frameworks and already had contact with ReactJS or Flutter
The test project: Starting from scratch and using the best possible tools/frameworks, except for the Gravity Form plugin which is central in our processes, re-create one of Oolongmedia's existing site. Some of our actual sites are non-optimal; chaotic codes, slow speed, abandoned theme, vulnerable to hacks, deprecated php, etc. We need to start again and are open to mostly any recommendations. We are a lead generation company so we essentially got pages and blogposts with Gravity Forms here and there. You'd work under our backend dev supervision.
