Creative Writer / Social Media Expert / VA needed

Creative Writer / Social Media Expert / VA needed for new online company focused on children’s education. We offer a full time job with weekly pay + 13 month payment + vacation and sick days + holidays.

I am looking for a new team member to help us launch and grow a new online company targeted at parents with school children.

Your profile:
• You have excellent English writing skills
• You have great communication skills
• You have project management skills, organizational talent and attention to detail
• You have a creative mind
• You are great at doing research and is able to distill a great amount of information to its most important highlights
• You can work independently once you understand the end goal
• You are a fast learner and good at following instructions
• Not afraid to do mundane, repetitive tasks if the job calls for it
• You are not shy – you may be asked to call customers or potential partners on the phone
• You are extremely reliable
• You are not afraid to grow your skills in new areas (e.g. how to use new software)
• You have a good and reliable internet connection
• Know what SEO means
• You are familiar with the Wordpress platform
• You are proficient in working with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and especially Excel
• You are good with numbers
• Not afraid of change (because priorities may change anytime)
• It would be great if you have basic Photoshop, HTML and CSS skills, but not a strict requirement for applying for this job

• The company is a new online start-up aimed at parents that want to offer their children extra fun education. The company will sell physical products (toys and games) as well as online video courses. We also expect to offer a membership

About the position
• Perform research on:
o Blog post ideas
o Competitors
o Customer demographics
o Keywords
• Write blog post articles, emails and other relevant pieces of written communication
• Update and maintain the company’s Social Media presence on platforms like Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, Twitter etc.
• Run competitions, give-away campaigns and other marketing initiatives
• Monitor and report on key metrics about search rankings, sales, customers etc.
• Update content for the company’s ecommerce shop and website
• Monitor and reply to customer emails, Facebook comments, YouTube comments etc.
• Follow up customer purchases and handle orders
• Find potential blog reviewers, subject matter experts for blog contributions or interviews or other relevant parties
• Run practical aspects of a new membership site incl. member management, management of content and communication with members
• Create status and progress reports for me on a daily and weekly basis
• You can expect to get documentation (manuals / instruction videos) for how to perform most of the tasks. You are not expected to figure everything out on your own.
• Plus many ad hoc tasks that will come up as we go along

I expect that you are able to communicate with me via Skype chat, voice and preferably also video.
In the beginning, you and I will be the only members of the core team of this company. As we grow, I want to bring in more people to help us. For the right candidate, this could be a chance to take on a team leader role at some point and/or becomes more specialized in your role.

About compensation
Will pay weekly for the first two months – then on a monthly basis
We pay 13th month bonus
We give pay increases based on performance
Every month you work, you earn one personal day, which can be used as sick days or vacation days (12 days for year)
The following days are paid holidays: New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Independence Day, All Saints Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve (7 days)
Pay start at $400 a month
