Graphic Designer & Video Editor

Trinity Church in Chicago ( ---------- ) is seeking a full-time graphic designer and video editor—also known as a Media Creator. The role will involve following creative briefs for digital and print projects, as well as recurring ---------- ndidates must be design-savvy, production-minded, brand-conscious, able to work by themselves, display strong collaboration, and consistently meet deadlines.

Full-time means a thirty (30) hour work week Monday to Friday at $4 USD per hour pre-tax. Hours worked are generally flexible, but the candidate must be available between 6am-12pm local Philippine Standard Time (PHT) for periodic video conferencing. Additional hours are possible, as well as the very rare exception of up to a sixty (60) hour week under exceptional circumstances. Occasional weekend availability may be ---------- pending on the candidates strengths, the role may evolve in the future. The Media Creator reports to the Team Manager, but also receives creative input and direction from the Marketing & Communications Coordinator.

QUALIFICATIONS...

- Candidate must be a Christian.
- Effectively speaks and writes English.
- Strives for excellence, brand awareness, and follows industry trends.
- Provides evidence of following directions, as well as making meaningful creative contributions.
- Preferably holds qualifications, or corresponding achievements, in relevant fields.
- Ability to employ problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Proficient in Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) (Specifically Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Drive), WordPress, Adobe Indesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and video editing software.
- Can make/find video animations when needed.
- Understands audio optimization and achieves highest audio quality.
- Makes perceptive design decisions and intuitive video edits.
- Able to work from alternative locations if their personal internet connection goes down.

RESPONSIBILITIES....

CREATIVE PROCESS:
Collaborate and brainstorm marketing ideas and creative concepts. Implement creative briefs from the Marketing & Promotions Coordinator. Upload and store approved graphics and videos.

WEBSITE:
Optimize graphics, audio, video, and animated gifs for web use.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Edit and stylize our weekly announcements video.

TESTIMONIES:
Research and identify 1-2 new believer testimonies (people who recently became Christians) each week, creatively edit these videos to two minutes.

BUDGET:
Manage the annual budget for stock media and other related expenses.

YOUTUBE:
Execute post-production on our weekly church service video livestream.

REPORTS:
Provide a daily report of all activity.

FLEXIBLE:
As a key participant in our organization, the Media Creator is expected to be flexible and willing to assist with other tasks if or when they arise.

PERKS...

PAID VACATION:
Five paid vacation days in the first year (cannot be used in the first four months). Five additional paid days each year up to twenty days maximum.

NATIONAL HOLIDAYS:
Those working full-time (30+ hours per week) will be paid for the following National Holidays if they fall on a working day: Chinese New Year, People Power Revolution, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Black Saturday, The Day of Valor (Bataan Day), Labor Day, Eid'l Fitr, Independence Day, Eidul Adha, Ninoy Aquino, National Heroes Day, All Saint's Day, All Soul's Day, Bonifacio Day, Immaculate Conception Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Rizal Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year’s Day.

13th MONTH BONUS:
December double pay (paid at the end of November).

MATERNITY/PATERNITY TIME-OFF:
Maternity is one hundred and five (105) days. Paternity is seven (7) days for the first four (4) children. Since this type of leave is covered through SSS, Trinity does not compensate for it.

HEALTH INSURANCE:
Private health insurance for those working full-time and their immediate family (spouse and children) is offered after the first full year.
