Head Nurse

The Head Nurse is directly responsible and makes report to the supervisor or in their absence to the Chief Nurse. She plans, organizes, leads and controls, the activities within her clinical area for optimum patient care. She initiates and participates in research conducted within the institution. She recognizes her limitations and takes positive actions to enhance her personal and professional competency.
Job Requirement:

• She must be a licensed Bachelor of Science in Nursing with at least 12 M.A. units.
• Must have passed IQ, Aptitude and Proficiency Examinations given by the hospital.
• Must have attended and passed an orientation program given by the hospital.
• Must have attended and participated in leadership and management seminars.
• Must have at least 2 years of direct patient care in a medical- surgical units or Intensive Care Unit.
