Experienced Project Manager / WordPress Developer

We're looking for an WordPress/PHP developer who is an experienced Project Manager to join our growing team at Upgrade to see actual info for a full-time position. The ideal candidate should have at least 3-4 years of experience building custom WordPress projects (plugins / themes), can effectively communicate with customers in English via email/video/phone, is able to work and delegate tasks effectively within a small team, and most importantly is able to work closely with clients to take their projects from concept right through to completion, on time and on budget

Skills to successfully thrive in this role include (but are not limited to):

1. Communication - written and verbal. Understanding the problems the clients are trying to solve and be able to verbalise that. Provide regular project updates etc
2. WordPress/PHP development - strong skills in development are important to understand the pros and cons of different approaches to completing projects, briefing team members about how to approach problems, code reviews, and ensuring the work gets done to the specifications.
3. Organisational skills - writing project briefs, breaking down projects into small tasks, delegating to team members, assigning deadlines etc

Appropriate training and mentoring over 3-6 months will be provided to get you up to speed on exactly what we do and how we do it, so you can effectively manage projects internally with the team. After you get comfortable in this role, you'll slowly start direct communication with customers

The remote-work position is full-time – 9am-5:30pm Australian Eastern Standard Time. The salary is negotiable (based on your experience) and our allocated budget is between PHP 45-60K per month.

Along with your salary, the selected candidate for the position will receive the following benefits:

- Annual Leave - you accrue 1 day every month, to a maximum of 24 days
