ABOUT THIS ROLE
We are looking for an experienced Google Ads Specialist with a proven track record in Search advertising across a variety of industries. Your main goal will be to help our agency’s clients generate qualified leads through Google Search Ads. As you grow in this position, you may be asked to interact with clients directly to explain results, answer their questions, and gather information to help you improve their ad campaigns.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The core activities of this position are to design, build, maintain, and optimize Search campaigns. That means you need very strong skills and experience in the following areas:
* Account setup – Create a new Google Ads account or “clean up” an existing one so that it conforms to our standards and best practices
* Campaign setup - Perform keyword research, develop keyword and negative keyword lists, create ad groups, develop ad copy, recommend budgets, propose and implement A/B tests (and know when it’s not appropriate to do so), and build landing pages using Instapage and/or WordPress Beaver Builder (we have templates for you) and/or provide content for the web team to build the landing pages. When appropriate, create remarketing ads using RLSA and audience lists.
* Conversion tracking - Determine the right conversion goals to track, set up and test them using GTM and/or CallRail tracking code, and make sure conversions are taking place correctly. This includes conversions from form fills and calls. Ensure proper attribution for all conversions.
* Ongoing campaign management - Set up and use Google Analytics goals and funnels to track and analyze campaign performance. Continuously optimize campaigns to drive conversions while staying within budget. Quickly notice when something doesn’t look right and take steps to fix it.
* Reporting – Work with our reporting tool (Agency Analytics) to refine monthly client reports and analytics dashboards for all major
* Planning - Recommend keyword opportunities, campaign restructuring, demographic, device, and geographic targeting, and other facets of paid search to help each client achieve their business goals.
* Looking ahead – Stay up-to-date on search marketing industry trends and developments, including changes in Google Ads tools and best practices.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
* 2+ years hands-on experience building and managing Google Search Ads campaigns (actually doing the work yourself) across a variety of industries
* Google Search Ads individual certification
* Excellent command of written and spoken English language, and ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of clients and team members who are located globally
* A proven track record of getting meaningful results from search campaigns, optimizing acquisition cost and ROAS, and attracting the right leads for clients
* Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities across multiple accounts to help clients meet their strategic goals
NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
* Remarketing and Google Display Ads

* Experience using Wordstream to manage ads accounts
* Experience using project management software, such as Asana, Trello, or
* Google Analytics individual certification
* Basic skills using WordPress and/or Instapage (to update copy, add images, change links, etc.)
* Experience setting up and managing campaigns using Microsoft Advertising

**IMPORTANT **
We are based in Arizona (we don’t have Daylight Savings Time so we’re on MST during the winter and PST in summer). You MUST be able to work a SET SCHEDULE where at least 1 hour each day is during our business hours (9am – 5pm Arizona time) so we can coordinate and collaborate on work. If your schedule is random or you cannot commit to a set schedule, please do not apply – that kind of arrangement will not work.
The position is part-time to start (10+ hours/week) with the intent to increase your hours as we bring on more clients, as well as opportunities for advancement.
This is a work-from-home role. Our entire team is remote, with team members scattered around the world.
