Fix LEMP stack config ASAP + update / optimize

currently on linode 4gb shared cpu with LEMP stack ubuntu 18, php7.4 fpm

3 wordpress domains, total traffic ~10k hits per mo. (502 gateway error at host)

2 apps - rocketchat, netdata (processes are getting killed dt no memory)

this job entails 3 deliverables -

1. need to fix 502 gateway errors ASAP ;

2. clean up and optimize
- server config for nginx server blocks,
- sql (mysqltuner or other )
- phpfpm,
- reverse proxies for apps im
- improve security (remove root pw access)
- other suggestions you have

3. install nextcloud and usertrack to subdomain, restore phpmyadmin (cant access after hiding it)

4 considering upgrading to ubuntu 20 and php8 now, good idea? also considering moving to datadog for monitoring, what do you think?

as you complete each task, i'd like you to share a brief explanation for how and why you will be making certain changes, since I want to learn this myself also.


to be considered for a video interview, you must be familiar with LEMP stacks, wordpress configuration and experience with linode is a plus.
