FUNCTION AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Title: Registered Psychometrician
Division: Mental Health Services and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) unit in DJF
PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT: Davao Jubilee Foundation (DJF), Sitio Escuela Road, Catalunan Grande Davao City
Reports To: Operations Manager of DJF and MHPSS unit of ICRC
Qualifications
Eligibility:
• RA 10029 (Psychometrician) is an asset
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology
• Master’s degree related to mental health is an asset
Training and Work Experience:
• 2 years of relevant work experience in Mental Health
• Experience working with people with disability is an asset
• Relevant training in psychotherapy, counselling or clinical psychology
Competency:
• Fluent knowledge of spoken and written English
• Fluent in Bisaya and Filipino language
• Good computer knowledge
• Proficiency in psychological clinical skills
• Skilled in planning, organizing, and monitoring
• Capacity to implement and evaluates program independently
• High level of communication and negotiation skills
• Rigor, method and analytical skills
• Proactive, with sense of responsibility, self-awareness, and leadership skills
• Ability to work under stressful conditions
Job Responsibilities
• To implement the MHPSS programme for DJF patients, families and caretakers in collaboration and support of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC)
• To conduct clinical assessment to the patients of DJF and family/ caregivers and provide individual and group psychotherapeutic interventions
• Strengthen the capacities of physical rehabilitation staff of DJF in partnership with MHPSS ICRC.
• Maintain a regular contact and follow up of the open cases for individual and group intervention.
• Established appropriate individual referrals and other MHPSS cares according to the individual is needs.
• To monitor MHPSS activities in DJF collecting statistical data of the interventions and making standard reports.
• Maintain regular contact with other stakeholders involved in MHPSS activities in the country (networking) or at least in Davao City and make appropriate referrals to those services if necessary.
• Work in close contact with MHPSS staff of ICRC for ensuring a more coordinated and integrated support in responding to the needs of the beneficiaries.
• With the support of the ICRC to develop modules of MHPSS interventions and training content for the program
• To ensure the quality of the MHPSS intervention through the constant revision and adaptation of the methodology of the programs.
• To contribute to the regular reporting documents of the institution as well as specific reports upon request to ICRC, such as minutes of meetings, analytic/synthetic papers, and monitoring database.
• To secure the collection and compilation of all the necessary information accurately and in confidential practice.
• Keeps files up-to-date at all times.
• Collaborate and coordinate activities with other departments within DJF.
• To work in line with values and procedures of DJF and ICRC
Terms and Conditions
The appointment is based on merit and fitness. A qualified candidate is issued an appointment co-terminus with the Project/Program.
The first six (6) months is the probationary period. During this period, the character and performance of the employee is checked, assessed and evaluated. It is also during this period the employee can rate his/her capability and willingness to work with the organization. Incompetence or unsatisfactory performance/behavior within this period may be the basis of non-issuance of an appointment.
