Senior Software Developer

Our company sells and installs alarms across the United States, in addition to providing an industry-leading suite of software solutions. We are looking to hire a Senior Software ---------- this role, your Specific Responsibilities will include:
- Complete project-based tasks as assigned.
- Develop the back-end for our applications according to specs.
- Write clean, secure, test driven, easily maintainable and modular codes
- Design and maintain databases.
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
- Troubleshoot and debug applications.
- Perform UI/back-end tests to optimize performance.
- Report directly to our Lead Developer, and collaborate with our COO/CEO and business stakeholders as needed.
- Collaborate and work with Front-end Developers and User Experience (UX) Designers on the back-end needs of projects.
- Adhere closely to development plans and anticipate changes to specification or schedule as they become necessary during development.
- Stay engaged and responsive via collaboration tools such as Slack and Miro.
- All other job duties as requested


Required Qualifications:
- Experience: minimum of 5+ years with (PHP) Laravel
- Experience managing and maintaining MySQL
- Experience with Git


Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced knowledge of Laravel/Jetstream/Inertia/Vue/Tailwind stack
- Advanced knowledge of RESTful APIs and flows
- Extensive experience in (PHP) Laravel Framework
- Experience with query optimization
- Experience with GitHub
- Experience working with 3rd party APIs
- Comfortable with Linux/Unix (We use our own CentOS VPS for most of our distros)
- Strong command of the English language
- Experience working for a growing small business

- Must be confident communicating and collaborating with our business leadership team; must also be able to understand business needs and take a solutions-oriented approach to the development process
- Must be comfortable working within a small, fast-paced, 100% remote development environment; prior track record of successfully working remotely is strongly preferred
- Must be reliable, resourceful, and highly self-motivated

Our software is mature, but we have an ongoing commitment to improving and expanding our product offerings, and we are currently looking to add an experienced Laravel developer to our team.

Our ideal candidate would have significant experience with PHP (Laravel) and Javascript (Vue.js).
