Senior Backend Developer

Below the idea of what we want you to build for us. We do have the detailed specifications and requirements list for the project but hereby a summary so you'll have an idea how the final product should work. This is a full-time job for two / three months. At least we think it can be done in this timeframe.

Job description: build a platform where users will promote affiliate products
We will basically be sub-affiliate network with sub-affiliates. On our platform, sub-affiliates can create an account where they can add affiliate products they select from our platform to display on their profile. Both the sub-affiliate and us will receive a commission on a sale. There are 4 phases we have in mind to build the platform we have in ---------- ase 1: Platform where sub-affiliates can sign-up
We will work with different affiliate networks with their own requirements. Hereby for example the requirements for Awin, this is the platform we will start working with. This is crucial since we MUST follow all these requirements. Please read this and let me know if you can build this: ----------

Phase 2: Import xml feeds from the affiliate networks
On the platform we will Import hundred of thousands of products using xml feeds from multiple advertisers from the affiliate networks. These xml feeds can be from multiple affiliate networks as ---------- 's important that you have experience doing this since this can be very tricky. Products must be assigned to already excising categories while the xml feeds is not the same for every advertiser. If you have experience with this you'll know what I mean. We have an affiliate site where we are still doing this manually but for this platform it must be fully automated. I will ask you about this during the ---------- ase 3: Sub-affiliates will select products to display on their profile
Create a dashboard where sub-affiliates can select the products from phase 2 to display on their ---------- ase 4: Platform must be a community
There will be two type of users on the platform, user A (the sub-affiliates) who are promoting products and user B, default users. Hereby some of the functions they must have.
- All users can follow, comment, like other users products, comments etc.
- users can save products etc

As we mentioned above, we have a written detailed specifications and requirements list but at least you'll have an idea what we want to achieve with this project.

Please answer the next questions when applying:
1. do you have any experience with creating affiliate sites with over 100000 products? if so, how did you manage to keep the site fast? Hereby an affiliate site with million of products but it's still incredible fast. ----------

2. can you give me advise on which hosting/ CDN etc to use?
3. Are you able to complete this project in two / three months?
4. which language will you use for programming?

R E Q U I R E M E N T S
- Expert in modern Python, PHP and JS development
- Experienced with server-side (Go, Node, Java) and client-side development (Angular, Backbone, Django) as well as database management (SQL, JSON)
- Solid knowledge of the API frameworks
- 3+ years experience in building and operating desktop applications
- Strong focus on good code quality and understand what makes software maintainable and fast
- You take full responsibility for the software you write
