Social Media Assistant

In this position, you will be working for a one-person social media agency. Our clients span several different industries. You will be working with a very flexible and understanding boss. The person chosen for this position MUST have experience working in social media.

The main duties required for this position are as follows:

- Social copywriting
- Possess creativity and take initiative –– social media is all about following trends and coming up with new ideas constantly. A successful candidate for this position will seek out opportunities to interject their ideas and make suggestions. Your employer welcomes this kind of participation.
- Ability to engage with audiences on social media and respond to comments and messages. The bulk of the work of this position will be responding to our clients' audiences. It's important that the individual in this position is respectful, friendly and an excellent writer. This position is not required to answer complex customer service inquiries but will need to be able to field those inquiries to other team members. (Employer will provide training.)
- Maintain a social content calendar and publish content regularly.
- Possess attention to detail. A strong grasp of the English language is required. Strong writing skills encouraged.
- Assist with task management and organization. You will be working on multiple accounts and the ability to assist with organization and manage schedules is very important.
- A fun and positive attitude –– a sense of humor definitely helps when it comes to writing copy for social media and engaging with followers. It's also important to be flexible since social media is constantly changing.
- An understanding of social media analytics

*Additional social media skillsets are a bonus and may warrant a higher hourly rate including SEO experience, graphic design, advertising, analytics
