A busy, respected home & kitchen online retailer is seeking a detailed oriented Merchandising Assistant. This role will report to the Director of eCommerce and will be responsible for managing and maintaining the online store's catalog or products. Key duties will require constant maintenance and updating of a master catalog Excel spreadsheet.
The store currently offers over 8000 products and works with over 70 vendors... and growing! Comfort working in a fast-moving, customer-focused office environment is a must.
Key Responsibilities
- Keeping all product pricing updated.
- Gathering and updating product images
- Ensuring the catalog is current by adding new products offered by our partner vendors, or removing outdated products
- Managing sales pricing, duration, promotion
- Identifying key products to group and promote
- Auditing product pricing and profit margins
- Engaging with vendors to gather updated pricing, data, and digital assets
Qualifications
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Office products a must
- Professional and courteous
- Fast learner
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Comfortable and knowledgeable with web-based businesses and tools are a plus
- Ability to work independently
- Focused, and detailed oriented a must
- Prior retail or eCommerce experience a plus
