JOB OVERVIEW

We’re on a mission to help entrepreneurs step into their role as CEO and scale their business. As a business strategist + coach, I offer services, programs and courses that help entrepreneur develop sustainable growth strategies, streamlined operations and transformational leadership.

I’m seeking a part-time Copywriter / Content Marketing Coordinator to join our marketing team. The ideal candidate will have a roll-up-your-sleeves get-it-done attitude; they’ll be team-oriented with a curious mind and eager to learn. This person must be well-organized, highly detailed, and a self-starter.

This person will be responsible for writing marketing content/copy that increases engagement and conversion.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Write effective copy—that sounds like it was written by our CEO—quickly and easily—that connects with our target market.
• Proactive and always looking for more copy that can be written or improved
• Writing copy that leads to more clicks in promo emails, has killer subject lines that lead to higher open rates over time, is persuasive and leads to sales, teaches advanced concepts and strategies in a straightforward and enjoyably addictive way (our readers LOOK FORWARD to our content), is entertaining and makes our readers laugh.
• Researching and understanding our unique position in the market.
• Seeking out information about our target market by reading what’s current in the industry.
• Proactively studying online marketing strategies and keeping up with the shifts in this entrepreneurial space.
• Always looking to see where other team members might need help and pitching in when possible.
• Display a great, positive attitude, and is open to feedback and suggestions.
• Pivots quickly and is communicative of hold ups in projects.
• Writing effective promo campaigns for marketing materials

You Will Know You’re Successful In This Job If:
• Copy is delivered ahead of schedule
• Conversion rates of opt in pages increases
• Open rates of promo emails increases
• Conversion rates of sales letters increases
• Subscribers provide positive feedback by replying to promo emails or commenting on posts (we’ve come to expect rave reviews!)
• Subscriber retention rate increases

Requirements
As we’re looking for an ideal fit, our new Copywriter will likely possess what we’ve listed below:
• 2+ years copywriting experience (experience writing for a business coaching organization is a bonus) in a company where it’s not just about putting words on a page but where conversion rates matter.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload of self.
• Critical thinking, analytical, & problem solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects under pressure.
• Ability to work on multiple projects at any one time.
• Operate in a fast moving environment and adhere to deadlines while producing high quality work each and every time.
• Passion for working with others (being collaborative) and helping our team members grow and learn.
• Be a problem solver and think ahead to ensure any challenges don’t greatly impact project progress or outcomes.
• Ability to set goals and develop achievable timelines to hit them.

What a Sampling of our Copy Needs May Look Like in a Month
• Weekly emails
• Weekly blog posts
• Weekly social media content
• 14 day email sequence for a product launch.
• Weekly email to our group coaching members.
• New funnels: landing pages, email sequence, ad copy, etc.

YOU
• Are excited by the idea of making positive change in the world, and your work reflects your values
• Have a proven ability to pay meticulous attention to detail and have a demonstrated commitment to quality, with a high level of accuracy in all output
• Have excellent time management skills, a high sense of urgency, ability to prioritize multiple tasks, and meet strict deadlines
• Are available to work at least 20 hours/week within the hours of 8am-5pm EST daily and attend weekly team meetings and daily huddles
• Strong sense of responsibility and ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision
• Are independent and self-sufficient, but also know when to ask for help or clarification
• Are ready to grow with the business, investing own time in personal development, and look forward to being a trusted team member that the business relies on in order to grow
• Consistent with quality and communication
• Initiates and responds to suggestions for improving
• Either familiar with or willing to learn ClickUp, ActiveCampaign, WordPress, Google Drive & Docs, and Zoom

Must have:
• Strong Internet Access
• 20 hours per week available
