Full time content writer / general VA

Looking for a FULL TIME experienced content writer / general VA to manage a number of different websites. I expect you to be working for me full time (40 hrs/week) and not working a second job. I will pay weekly via Paypal. We will talk daily through emails and via Skype chat once or twice a week.

Job duties:

60% of time will be writing articles. The niches covered include family, health/fitness, business, SEO, software development, video games, and more. We will focus on 1 or 2 niches at a time, building a strong base of articles before expanding into other markets. Some of the articles will be small 300 word posts, and some of the articles will be very long multi-post articles consisting of 4,000 words or more, requiring a good deal of research. A strong writing background is essential and all candidates must prove their ability by providing references to prior work and by creating a test article for our review. Details below.

20% of the time will be performing SEO work. The goal is for your articles to rank high for the chosen keywords in the major search engines. You must have some experience in search engine optimization and be able to tweak your articles, meta-data, etc to achieve high ranking.

10% of the time will be performing WordPress maintenance, including installing plug-ins, updating plug-ins, performing backups, etc.

10% of the time will be learning new skills! I don't expect you to be perfect, and I want to provide the opportunity for you to increase your abilities. We will work together to create a mutually-beneficial curriculum.

This is the first position at our company outside of the founders and we are looking to grow. I am looking for a candidate for long-term potential to grow with us. That means someone who is capable of moving into a management position and leading a team of content writers, web masters and SEO gurus down the line.
