Wordpress Performance Engineer (Developer)

We are looking for a WordPress Performance Engineer to work closely with our customers to consistently deliver lightning-fast websites securing our business as a market leader in website performance optimization.

This job is for accomplished WordPress developers that are obsessed with speed. You don't need to be a senior developer with 20 years of experience, but you do need to know how to make WordPress websites fast.

That means having deep working knowledge of;
- WordPress performance best practices
- Hosting (managed and self-hosted)
- CDN configuration
- HTML/CSS/JS compression and minification
- Browser caching
- Redirects
- Web asset optimization
- DNS
- Able to remove redundant source code
- Asynchronous asset loading
- Removal of render-blocking elements

This is in addition to at least 4 years experience optimizing WordPress website performance, along with more traditional WordPress development requirements including;
- WordPress theme editing & development
- PHP
- HTML
- CSS
- Javascript
- Git
- Native-level fluency in English
- Excellent code practices and written skills
