Web Designer

Hello!

I'm the owner of Midwest Barrel Co., and we're on a mission to deliver a memorable experience that's better for our people, our beverages, and our planet. Our company has seen tremendous growth in the last couple of years and we're now looking for someone to elevate our brand in a visual way, with an emphasis on community that integrates a B2B and B2C marketing experience.

We're looking for a Web Designer - someone who has extensive experience in web design that will work alongside me (the owner!), our amazing art team and our web developers to redesign our new website.

Ideally we would like to find a full time candidate that will be with us through multiple phases of this ---------- ase I will include a design refresh of all pages in Wordpress. Our current site is built on ---------- ase II will be translating the Wordpress site to a full custom build. We anticipate both projects will go through ---------- ndidates should possess a minimum of 3 years web design experience. Part time candidates will be considered for the right ---------- eing your portfolio and commitment to availability to meet with our team (during Central Standard Time (CST)) are both musts!


YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Killer web design work - modern, forward-thinking, e-commerce based
- Design work for print and/or social media as needed
- Understanding of how to do design research, strategically present designs to team and ALSO make design decisions that translate well into development
- Partner with a UI/UX manager and/or dev team
- Knows Figma or Adobe XD
- Work closely with our Co-owner, e-Commerce manager, Art Team, UI/UX lead and web developer to help translate the user experience into a design that converts to sales
- Experience building with WooCommerce
- Preferred: Experience designing a fully custom code site
- Communicate ideas clearly and in a manner that can be understood by clients and ‘non-techie’ team members.

ABOUT US:
We specialize in selling used wine and whiskey barrels but also sell other engravable products. We are looking to grow our business and have someone with us for the long run who can grow with us.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Must have extensive web design experience with a portfolio
• Must be willing to learn new platforms as we expand
• Must have EXCELLENT written English
• Must be willing to integrate fully with the US team, including time tracking in Toggl, project management in Trello and team collaboration in Slack
