Are you a rock star frontend & backend developer and designer, who is looking for the perfect client to build a long term relationship with…

If so, then this is your dream job.

My company Zen Life Supplements needs a front-end/back-end developer. That’s where you come in!

This will start project-based for us to both test out working together…

… But I want it to QUICKLY move to a full time position -- where you’re handling all the tech issues in my business (more on that below). And eventually I want you to become my CTO where you manage a team of engineers.

About this Position:

In this position there are two major roles. Frontend and backend projects.

The frontend needs to be beautiful, responsive design. Built in non-DB PHP.

The biggest tech consideration here beyond pretty design is that our tracking and systems are setup to pass data to each other.

*Note on design - while I need you to have an eye for design - knowing what looks good and what doesn’t - you may think what I have you design is ugly. But you need to go along with it. I’m the marketer. I’ll worry about conversions and the customers.

Backend projects will be integrating softwares, passing data, building out features and fixing bugs to the systems we use or have built.

Biggest thing here - is data. Data. And data. We need clean data. We need to be able to collect it and analyze it.

This position will mark a big difference in your professional life - where you go to the next level… Not just with tech skills, but MARKETING.

Let me tell you - most tech people don’t get marketing. Hell, most marketers don’t get it. So you’re going to see the real secrets behind the scenes of what is working and isn’t.

So if you ever have to look for a job again, you’ll be the hottest candidate on the job market.

And -- this will be a FUN job. Where we like each other and joke around. It should not be high-stress for you - ever. Sure we’ll have deadlines and bust our asses. That is part of building something great.

Also - you can expect to join a team of ALL-STARS. You’ll work with smart people who “get it”.

Soft skills for success

These are the little things you need to succeed in this role.

Attention to detail. I’ll answer every question, write detailed specs, but you have to go through it line by line
Great communication - I need you to tell me before something breaks. When something isn’t going well. When you don’t understand something. When a project is turning into a disaster. I don’t want to have to pry information (FYI - I’m American - aka direct).
Reliable - do what you say you’re going to do, and show up on time. Be responsive to my communication.
Team player - you may have to deal with non-technical members of my team. You’ll need to have patience.
Cool head - you need to be able to control your emotions when things crash, projects turn into disasters, or someone breaks something you built. We’ll all do our best. But getting angry is not cool.
Quality assurance - you need to get the final and big picture and test your code against all possibilities - if you’re failing to get obvious bugs that us non-techies can find, then you’re not the guy.

This is in order of importance, and are just as important as the hard/tech skills of this position.

About Zen Life Supplements:

I’m building a direct response health company that changes people’s lives. Right now, I offer several supplements that help people deal with crippling issues like anxiety and insomnia.

This is the perfect time to join my company. I’ve done the startup grind of figuring out our product line, basic tech stuff, and acquiring our first 10,000+ customers.

I’ve never had to raise capital, but have grown this company up to 1136% per year over the last 5 years.

In fact, I did tech for the first few years of the business. So when you talk code to me, I’ll “get it.” And you won’t have to waste time talking to a clueless client.

Apply right now and let’s talk:

I need you to put 'rockstar in the first line of your application. This is a stupid requirement to weed out people who don’t read this. If you can’t read this job description, then you won’t read my tech specs.

First, you’ll talk to my project manager - Erika. You’ll deal with her a lot. She will be your first line of support getting you everything you need to help you succeed.

Then you and I will talk. I'll identify a project for us to start out with. And this will be the focus of our discussion.

If it sounds like a fit to both of us, then I’ll hire you to do this project that we’ve discussed.

This position will be project by project but will move to full time.

Sincerely,
