We are looking for a freelancer (with weekly part time hours) with the goal of hiring full time

You will be helping with our weekly real estate videos for YouTube and other social media.

Excellent English without grammar or spelling mistakes in video pop ups is required. You can use spell checker if you need.

If you are new to video editing – No problem! We just need you to be able to edit at the minimum standards as the links below. Go check them out!

Important to us:
- Superior attention to detail
- Listen and follow instructions from our marketing manager
- We hope that you can learn our style, edits, and preferences over time so we don’t have to keep telling you every video you do
- Knowing how to edit videos to CAPTURE or KEEP viewer attention

The reason why we are looking to replace our current editor is because he isn’t listening or learning from our previous edits and we have to give him instructions time and time again for the same thing. We need someone who will learn what we are looking for and take initiative so we can minimize our time with video editing.

More than just an editor, we are looking for a PARTNER. I need someone trustworthy, competent, and reliable. We are looking for someone to grow with our team and as we become more successful, you too will get a higher pay.

If you know how to use Canva or are a graphic designer is a bonus but not necessary.

Your Top Tasks

o Editing Real Estate Vlogs
o Repurposing Content: Taking long form video (5+ minutes) and making them into short form videos for IG, FB & LinkedIn
o Manipulate and edit video content in a way that is invisible to the audience
o Review raw footage and create a plan to turn it into a professional clip
o Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the video
o Input music, dialogues, graphics, b-roll, and effects as needed
o Create rough and final cuts
o Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running
o Consult with us and our marketing manager from production to post-production process
o Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency.

Other Important Traits:
o Proven work experience as a Video Editor
o Great English speaking and writing skills
o Good communication skills
o Experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After-Effects and Final Cut)
o Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio (please share a link to past work when applying)
o Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuity
o Creative mind and storytelling skills



Pay: Flat rate per month (for now) $100 CAD for 4 videos between 5 – 15 minutes long. We have a script so editing is usually pretty easy. As we grow and generate more revenue, you too will be compensated more

Schedule: You can work anytime you want as long as you can turn over a video within 2 days (including weekends if need be).
