Photo & Video Assistant Editor

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Seeking an entry-level photo & video editor who will initially serve as an all-around assistant to a video and virtual tour production company. The tasks and corresponding pay rates will vary week-to-week and include the following: (organized by pay-rate in USD)
–– $2/hr: Data Entry Market Research | Royalty-Free Music Searching
–– $3/hr: 360 Picture Processing | B-Roll & Interview Footage Logging
–– $4/hr: Virtual Tour Building | Video Sound Design | Basic Video Editing
And here are those same tasks ordered in terms of volume (what would be done the most to the least):
–– 1) 360 Picture Processing
–– 2) B-Roll & Interview Footage Logging
–– 3) Data Entry Market Research
–– 4) Royalty-Free Music Searching
–– 5) Virtual Tour Building
–– 6) Video Sound Design
–– 7) Basic Video Editing
We have training materials for all of the above so no worries if you’ve never done some of it before, but we are looking for someone with basic color correction & photo/video editing experience with Adobe Photoshop & Adobe Premiere Pro. Ultimately, this is a young & growing media company (this will be our 3rd Filipino on staff) and in the next 1-2 years, more $4/hr basic editing work and $5-6/hr advanced editing positions will become available. However, that will be at least 1-2 years from now... so if you’re very experienced and want to be a lead photo/video editor right now, then you should probably look elsewhere :)


REQUIREMENTS:
1) Fluent in English: Speaking & Listening
2) Very Detail Oriented
3) Internet speed of at least 5 Mbps
4) A powerful computer that can handle processing large picture files and simple video motion graphics:
–– A) At least 16 GB Memory/RAM
–– B) A decent GPU/Graphics Card (something like the “GeForce 1080” or “AMD RX 5700" or better)
–– C) A decent Processor (something like “AMD Ryzen 5 3600” or “Intel i5 9th or 10th Gen” or “Intel i7 8th Gen” or better)
5) Some kind of Photoshop / Photo Editing experience (360 &/or real estate photography is a plus)
6) Some kind of Adobe Premiere experience (a basic understanding of how the software and timelines work)


PAY AND BENEFITS (all rates in USD):
– $2-4 per hour, 30-40 hours per week
– $0.25 raise each year for 4 years followed by a $0.10 inflation-based raise each year after that
– 8 PTO (Paid Time Off) days after 6 months and then 16 PTO days per year after 12 months
– PhilHealth Insurance ($15/mo) after 12 months
– SSS ($25/mo) after 12 months
– 13th Month Pay
