News Article Content Publishing

We are launching a news platform for the investment industry in ---------- will contain news, education and investment opportunities for investors. We are looking for a capable person to help us with the ongoing management of the news section of our website in Wordpress by publishing news articles.

There are two parts to this role as follows -

1) PRE-POPULATING THE WEBSITE WITH ARTICLES
Our website needs to be launched with at least 300+ news articles (preferably 1,000+ over time). These articles need to be sourced from press release websites such as ---------- , ---------- and any other websites you can find that has press releases relating to Australian businesses that have one of the following characteristics:
a) Are raising money
b) Are likely to raise money in the future
c) Are listed on the Australian Stock Exchange
d) Are in the finance industry

Each article needs to be re-worded sufficiently so that the content is unique to help with our SEO (e.g. edit the heading and some of the body of the article so it isn't deemed a duplicate article by search engines).

Each article also needs a relevant image chosen. You need to make sure there are no copyright issues with the image being used. Often an image from the website of the company that the article is about is a good start.

2) PUBLISHING ARTICLES WE ARE SENT
PR companies will be sending us press releases with articles that we can publish. These need to be published on the website when they come through.

We are likely to hire more than one person to assist with this role as news flow increases.

The successful candidate(s) can dedicate at least 40-50 hours per week, preferably more for the first 30 days so we can get the website finalised and launched by late January.

Requirements:
- Strong written communication
- Ability to edit and modify press releases without changing the meaning
- Prior use of Wordpress for publishing blogs/articles
- Ability to select relevant categories for each article
- Timetracking software is essential for monitoring performance
- Daily email with a list of articles published
- Provide constructive feedback on how we can improve the website
- Ability to source other people you know that can assist us as our team grows
- Available for regular video conferences and WhatsApp messages
