UX Web Designer

We are a 12 person web design, development, and digital marketing agency located in the USA. Our agency is seeking an experienced UX Designer with an outstanding portfolio to join our team.

Applicants should have advanced graphic design skills as described below. Applicant will be expected to participate in the development cycle that entails designing a website from scratch, producing a website design in Sketch or Figma (and PhotoShop), and communicating function to the development team.

The right candidate will be excited about the opportunity to build a website design from the ground up, as well as dive into and test existing websites, looking for opportunities to introduce design improvements over time. You will work with our team of digital marketing specialists, developers, content writers, and directly with clients to arrive at a big-picture solution.

Necessary Skills
• Ability to design corporate websites from scratch
• Advanced Graphic Design skills working with page layout, fonts, and colors
• Ability to design and produce Sketch or Figma layouts and layered Photoshop files
• Ability to slice images, crop photos, web optimize, and remove backgrounds
• Seeking designers with an outstanding portfolio
• Collaborate with client, sales associate, and art director to produce high quality custom design
• Advanced experience with responsive design layouts for multiple devices
• Ability to design for Bootstrap layouts
• Help identify and develop goals for the user’s journey through a client’s website

Helpful skills (not required)
• XHTML/CSS hand coding skills
• Experience with QA testing
• Understanding of content management systems (Sitefinity, WordPress, Drupal, DNN, etc.)
• Ability to understand and guide user journeys
• Study what users are doing, and how to visually guide users to the conversion goal areas of a website
• Logo design or illustration skills are a plus

Special Considerations
Fluency in English language required for consideration

Bi-monthly pay is fair and negotiable, depending on experience. Work hours are fairly flexible.
