Credit Repair Job Description

High analytical and problem-solving skills to figure out the issues with consumers’ credit, cleaning up their credit reports so they can begin improving their credit
? Possess a credit repair certification is important, but not required.
? Responsible for working with consumers to clean up their credit reports and begin improving their credit
? Review the credit reports of consumers, customers, or clients from all three credit bureaus
? Assist in the composition of the appropriate letters to the credit bureaus and to debt collection agencies
? mail the letter on behalf of the customer, client, or consumer
? Dispute, negotiate removal, and settling or waiting out the credit reporting time limit
? Protect the privacy of his/her clients, as the information that is collected from clients can be used to steal their identities if they land in the wrong hands
? Ensure that the information and privacy of clients are well secured
? Provide and recommending various options on how clients or consumers’ credit report can be handled or fixed
? Assist in the preparation of the appropriate letters to the credit bureaus
? Review full credit reports from all the three major credit bureaus mentioned earlier
? Making sure that clients or consumers are aware of their rights to dispute information on their own for free
? Provide clients or consumers with a written contract before performing any service on their behalf as required by law
? Understand government agencies involved in consumer rights
? Stay aware of the State’s credit repair laws and bond requirements for credit repair organizations and debt collectors at least a little experience in finance or a related field
