English Author

The Author will be responsible for the following:
a) Designing daily lessons plans for teaching content and language skills using effective activities and clear, accurate explanations
b) Researching and writing grade-appropriate stories, non-fiction texts, grammar and writing guidelines.
c) Creating application and assessment tasks for students to show mastery of the topic
d) Designing and developing digital content for classroom and home-based use; and
e) Participating in a rigorous peer review process to both give and receive/incorporate constructive feedback on teaching/learning materials with the goal of improving effectiveness and quality

The ideal candidate has:
A) A degree in English or related field (Master's preferred) from a leading university;
B) A teaching qualification;
C) 2+ years teaching English in K-10 at a progressive school; and
D) 2+ years experience in designing and creating content in a K-12 EdTech or curriculum organization, ideally impacting large scale (e.g., 500+ school) intervention;
E) Sr. Authors should have more than 4 years of experience.
