Job Description

The Product Description Writer will be responsible for creating and maintaining unique and engaging product descriptions for our shopify websites and other marketing efforts.


Duties and Responsibilities

1. Writes creative, clear, concise and brand-correct web copy based on Higher Media Style Guide.

2. Ensures the accuracy of the copy and product information, tracks and accounts for errors and updates all copy as directed.

3. Responsible for writing and developing high quality customer focused ecommerce content, including persuasive copy for product pages and landing pages.

4. Will interact with Product Research team to collect accurate information for the product description as needed.

5. The Ecommerce Copywriter will own the product, providing personality, and bringing life to the product.

6. Detail and efficiency is key for this position.

Qualifications

1. Proven ability to write with purpose, infusing copy with emotion.

2. Writing skills, grammar and punctuation knowledge is mandatory.

3. Knowledge and familiarity with similar products.

4. Detail orientated.

5. Results driven.

6. Must maintain a high level of consistency across work to reflect one Higher Media voice in copy.

7. Must be proficient in Google Drive and Task Management tool.

9. Must be able to work independently, but also work well with the Marketing team members to achieve goals.



Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
9:00 am - 6:00 pm GMT+8, M-F after the trial
