I am really looking for someone who wants to become an integral part of the day to day in my business. Whilst some experience is important I am more interested in finding a VA who:
• Is naturally a very organised person
• Has a passion to learn new things and grow professionally
• Ability to manage projects without overwhelm
• Can take initiative and can work autonomously confidently
• Can pick up new software and technologies quickly
On top of being well organised, I will need you to not only want to learn but truly have the ability to learn and understand new technologies and online programs. My business has a focus on automation, processes and systems and I want to expand my business. To do this I need someone who can assist in testing out new technologies, processes and systems with me and give feedback on their experience within context. This does not need technical ability – but analytical ability. This needs someone who can take initiative and understand in what capacity I would use these and give feedback. As such I need someone who can work with me not just do as instructed. Autonomy and initiative are key – if you think there is a better way to do something – I want to be told.
I also do business and marketing implementation for clients – and this is a side of the business I will be growing exponentially over the next 6 months. I need someone who can assist with this. Long term I will be taking on other specialists however for now I need an all-rounder capable of assisting in implementation. As the business grows I will want your help recruiting for these additional roles and at that stage helping oversee and project manage – at that time the help you will have been giving me up until that point means you will know what to expect of others.
Tasks I implement include (but not limited to):
• Email marketing setup and input of campaigns (using mailchimp, active campaign, infusionsoft and more)
• Setting up sales pages (using software such as leadpages and optimize press)
• Managing and updating websites using wordpress
• Setting up and reporting of key stats (software such as google analytics)
• Social Media (content research, image creation (basic using canva or picmonkey) and scheduling / posting posts)
• Setup and management of membership sites (software such as optimize press and wishlist member)
It is not crucial you have experience in these areas BUT it is advantageous.
Other tasks I would be looking for assistance with include formatting of documents (word, powerpoint etc), assistance with clearing out and managing my emails, research & collation of results, for example competitor research or software features research and listening to and summarising of trainings, videos etc.
The two mandatory requests I do have as a requirement is that you have good spoken and written english as well as some previous experience as a VA – assisting in general admin tasks of a business.
Other tasks I outsource (but I am not expecting you to be able to do - I am telling you in case you do have this skill so you can let me know) include: video editing, graphic design, website development, Infusionsoft setup and management
Initially the successful person will be hired on a 2 week trial to see how we go at 10 hours per week. This role is currently for 20 hours (roughly) per week however for the right person I see this moving to a full time role fairly quickly. The more work you can assist me with the more work I can give you essentially.
