URGENTLY NEEDING EDITORS for U.S. BASED NEWS WEBSITE - MANAGE WRITERS TOPICS

Develop your professional career working for a premium fast paced American news company.

We are looking for EDITORS who have experience in writing, copy editing and assigning topics to other writers, managing a team of writers to bring the best out of them. He/she must have a strong understanding of journalism / news.

The editorial team he/she will manage must be fluent in American style English providing top quality original articles. Poorly written articles will not be accepted or published by our site. The editor will work together with the Human Resources Director and Copy Editor to evaluate writers and weed out the staff who plagiarize or do not contribute to our brand in a positive way.

Plagiarism is ABSOLUTELY NOT tolerated.

He/She is expected to polish the media website’s profile/voice, assign topics to the team of writers under him/her, develop content and most importantly help increase its viewership/traffic. This position requires an innovative, organized, resourceful and goal-oriented leader who has a strong vision, a proven track record in management and an obsession with online trends.
• 3 + Years of Experience in Editing For an established website Required (not including school papers, blogs, personal websites)
• Have experience in training, and managing a large team of reporters and interns
• Has an eye for seeing professional and true skills in a writer verses a fraudulent writer
• Degree in Journalism, Communications or related field required.
• Proven record for web producing and online editorial community-building (Web Savvy)
• High energy, entrepreneurial spirit and team-building approach.
• Up-to-date knowledge of Internet publishing, metrics and usage patterns, including a strong grasp of social media and SEO
• Committed to quality; organized, accurate and detail-oriented. 

Desired Skills and Expertise

Compensation:
-Base salary will be $600 US dollars per month
-Base salary will increase as traffic goals of the entire team are met.
