Social Media Specialist / Digital Marketing Expert

THE COMPANY

We are a small, fast growing, ambitious media production company based in Vancouver, Canada seeking a Social Media Expert to expand our online footprint in various platforms. We are primarily based in the sleep and relaxation niche but are currently expanding into motivation, spirituality, & other areas. We are an extremely ambitious company seeking a determined self-starter, who is creative, hard working, organized, responsible and someone who is extremely detail oriented.

REQUIREMENTS

- Minimum 2 years experience leading strategy for at least one major social media channel such as Facebook, Instagram or Twitter under minimal guidance or supervision.
- Proven track record of implementing strategies that helped grow social media channels into 10k + followings.
- Combination of at least 4 years education and experience in digital marketing, social media marketing or related field.
- Graphic design experience is a must with a proven track record of creating thumbnails that generate a high CTR across various channels, blogs, etc.
- Passion for researching the latest digital media best practices and trends
- Fluent in English, maintaining impeccable grammar and punctuation skills.
- Experience starting and growing an email newsletter letter preferably using Mailchimp.
- Experience using Premiere Pro.
- After Effects experience an asset.
- Knowledge of YouTube an asset but not required.
- Interest in ASMR, sleep, relaxation, meditation and related niches is a strong asset.

THE POSITION

- Leverage our existing audience on YouTube to help grow our following on other social media channels and email.
- Develop and implement a strategy to help grow our various social media channels (FB, Insta, Twitter, etc,) alongside our YouTube channels.
- Write and a design a monthly newsletter that engages our audience, recommends our latest videos and promotes our advertising partners.
- Create and plan content for several social media platforms including (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, newsletter, etc.)
- Create short, share-worthy, high quality videos to engage our niche's audience and grow our following.
- Creating eye-catching thumbnails, social media posts, videos, etc. that generate high engagement.
- Repurpose content from our YouTube channels onto our other social media platforms, tailoring the content for each.
- Research the latest trends and opportunities across the digital marketing space.
- Training new and existing staff on social media/digital marketing best practices.

This is a full time 3 month contract position that is expected to turn into long-term role for right candidate.

Start and end times are flexible. Ideally we would prefer availability sometime between 11 AM PT and 12 PM PT, which corresponds to 2 AM PHT to 3 PM PHT, however most of the work can be done at any time during the day.
