Objective: We are looking to hire a Digital Marketing Manager experienced in Digital Marketing and generating Marketing Qualified Leads in B2B. The main objective of this role is to drive Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) for the company.
Reporting line: CEO (TBD)
Location: Australia or UK
Role and responsibilities:
• Globally responsible for the company’s brand message and reputation
• Directly or indirectly drive revenue growth through marketing activities
• Set goals, create, implement and manage the company’s marketing strategy to achieve these
• Provide tools and resources to sales and channel partners
• Drive channel partner leads through various online and offline channels
• Drive direct online sales through the website and other online channels
• Responsible for hands-on production of creative assets and collateral, with a focus on digital
• Regularly report on marketing KPIs
• Build a detailed budget and forecast based on the Cost of Acquisition and Customer Lifetime Value in partnership with the CFO
• Over time, build a committed, collaborative marketing team (on-shore and with low-cost offshore providers)
• Negotiate and keep an up-to-date events calendar across Australia and the UK
• Responsible for quality control of communications and customer experience.
• Prepare a one-page structured marketing report monthly
Experience and Requirements:
• Experience in driving revenue in early-stage companies
• Experience in selling culture-related SaaS products to Finance and/or Health sectors (but willing to excel in other sectors and industries)
• Strong understanding of marketing funnels, conversion optimisation and media placement
• Production skills. Whilst there is the opportunity to lead a team, the majority of FY2020 will have a heavy production focus. This means that, whilst it is not expected
that one will possess all the mentioned skills and there is small offshore production budget, the successful applicant will be able to bring a handful of the following skills: website updates (CMS: Webflow), layouts from existing assets, copywriting and wireframing, preparation of sales materials.
• Passion for and ability to drive the current Appellon Marketing Strategy as articulated in the Investment Memorandum, August 2020
• Experience in working under a performance agreement to drive MQLs/SQLs
• Previous experience managing teams
• A pragmatic data-driven approach to campaign development
• Understanding and articulating customer trends and needs for product development (including data-driven product development)
• Ability to wireframe a solution with polished customer-facing copy
• Ability to orchestrate complex projects that involve varied skill sets, blending in-house and outsourced talent to get things done (successful track record managing off-shore suppliers and low-cost production resources)
• Analytical expertise in drawing actionable conclusions based on marketing metrics
• Broad knowledge of CRM, marketing, analytics and intelligence platforms
• Excellent presentation, writing and communication skills
• Good business acumen, clear thinking, decisive and accountable
• Visionary, with high-levels of creativity and innovation
• Passionate about customer advocacy, service and support
• Demonstrable track record of delivering B2B leads digitally
