Ad Copywriter and Social Media Engagement Specialist

The person we hire will write ad copy, social media posts, and occasionally other marketing materials.

A mediocre marketer takes a shallow look at the product, spews out a bunch of clichés and emojis and calls it a day. We are NOT looking for that. Our copywriter will take the time to study and understand our target market, our products, and then will write smart, entertaining, thoughtful copy that our audience won't be able to tell apart from what a fun and very knowledgeable friend would tell them.

You are not required to create video or graphics but being able to is a plus. The main qualifications you need are having a way with words and being smart and ---------- is an advantage if you already understand/empathize with our target audience (see below). Your application should convince us of these qualities.

Our current social media and ad platforms are Facebook and Instagram but we want to extend to Pinterest, maybe others.

We are starting a new brand of paint by number kits. Our product quality is superior to most competitors and It is essential to communicate this effectively to our target market. Going forward, social media marketing is at the core of our growth strategy.

We have a high investment and big plans with our brand, so we see this as a long-term position where the benefits will grow in sync with our success. If the brand prospers with the help of your continuous hard work, you will get raises and bonuses. The person we hire now, if willing, will be able to take on more responsibilities as we evolve.

Highlight the process and tools we would need to provide you in order to be successful in the position. Also please outline one or more ideas for a successful ad for paint by number kits (our target market are ladies from the United States, aged 40 and up; don't worry about more thorough market research at this point).

We allow a flexible work schedule - there are no fixed start and stop times. We pay weekly for the week before. Days off are no problem but we ask you to announce in advance and to be mindful of important deadlines.
